Welcome to A Visit to the Mound

My name is Stan Hough.  I've spent roughly thirty five years in professional baseball, twelve as a player and twenty three as a coach, instructor and manager.  My partner is Lark Smith, who will be mediating, has a long career as a baseball radio announcer, TV Sportscaster and serious student of the game.

Our podcast, A Visit to the Mound, is a effort to help amateur coaches put together a team, set up a practice, and tips on managing a ballgame. Also, we will be speaking to the amateur player on how to enhance their athletic skills and hopefully, help them move to higher levels of baseball.  Along the way we will give you current events as they are happening in ML, Minor Leagues and Independent leagues, and also my experiences in professional baseball.

Our goal is to be entertaining, informative, and provide a baseball centric discussion not found on sports talk radio.
